Join the Waiheke Collective as we open the Spring Environmental Skills series with important background to Waiheke Island. George Kahi will lead a walk up Te Pūtiki o Kahu sharing stories from a Ngāti Paoa perspective. We will then hear about how the island's land use has changed over time and an introduction to the patterns of natural ecosystems from ecologist Jo Ritchie (Te Korowai o Waiheke). Kym Rawson from WRT will share with us whats been happening in Rangihoua wetland and the coordinators of the Waiheke Collective will share about the current projects happening across the island to support our natural environment and opportunities to get involved.
