Introduction to Conservation Skills at Whakanewha

Interested in a job in conservation? Or just want to improve your knowledge about our local environment?  Join participants of the Waiheke Collective as they share their skills in conservation. Covering two mini hands-on workshops, Natasha Beletskey from Auckland Council host a workshop on native and introduced plants while Hue Ross (Forest and Bird) and  Jo Ritchie from Te Korowai o Waiheke explore native birds and predator control. Up-skill yourself in Plant and Bird ID, weed management and predator control in this interactive workshop at Whakanewha.

Location: Meet at the poukaraka flat campground carpark at Whakanewha
